This one just didn t work for me and I m not even sure why The overall story is good and the writing is well done but I never connected with the characters and I think there were too many Aussie isms for me to really understand everything The pace of the story was a bit slow for me also As I said it just didn t work for me but not a bad book overall

Copping It Sweet Murphys Law #5 Free read ✓ eBook, PDF or Kindle ePUB To find out her secrets he’s willing to risk everything including his heart Sara Sullivan has a landlord who wants to evict her a 1960s Beetle that rarely starts and a looming exam she’s all set to fail But none of that compares to the return home of De. 375 starsThis book started off a bit slow for me but with the amazing characters I couldn t help but like this book I love Sara and Cooper They just work They have their secrets and hidden agendas but their relationship seems to work for them They don t want to keep secrets from each other but they have good reasons to They had some very cute and sweet moments I had that dopey smile on my face when they were together They really are adorable Sara does have trouble opening up to Cooper but I mean if you knew your husband just got out of jail and was possibly coming after you I would probably push everyone away from me I really felt sympathy for Sara She is constantly living in fear and she has people in her life that she wants to protect than anything She pushes herself to live but also has to keep looking over her shoulder Cooper s family adopts Sara as a sister of sorts and everyone thinks she is just fantastic except for Cooper He is trying to put Sara s husband Tony Dennis back in jail but needs to get close to her to find something to use against Tony I like that he was trying to be good to her and wasn t just using her the entire time His family would probably kill him if he hurt her He has to learn to trust Sara as much as Sara has to learn to trust him I love Cooper s family His father and his siblings are really close with Sara She now has a family to love her They are a great family They give Sara another reason to stay strong Sara and Cooper especially have such great depth to their characters We learn about their pasts and how their experiences have affected them I admire how they work to overcome their struggles and keep living My problem with the story is that the plot was moving a bit too slow for me There were some great scenes that made me laugh cry smile and keep me on my toes but there were also a few parts of the book that moved so slowly I was starting to lose interest I expected a bit suspense because at any given moment Tony could just show up and that is pretty darn scary I know that Sara has a life and people to care for but I expected intensity More suspense The plot wasn t bad at all but it wasn t consistently the most thrilling or engaging either With all of that said I liked this book a lot mostly because of the characters but took off a star or so because the plot did drag on and off throughout the book I still want to go back and read the other books in this series especially the one about Harry and Somer Can t wait I didn t realize this was part of a series when I started it but I am interested to see what the characters have been up to in the other books This book can be read as a standalone I received this ARC via Netgalley
